Young Wild and Three Birthday
… that very night in Cruz’s room a forest grew and grew - and grew until his ceiling hung with vines and the walls became the world all around.
In a blink of an eye, our littlest guy turned 3! They say your second one will reach developmental milestones faster, and boy were they right! Cruzie walked and talked faster than his older brother which made life at home a bit better - but my heart ached earlier because it also meant that I was losing everything “baby” that much faster.
We’ve been reading Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak leading up to his birthday, so I thought it would be fitting to celebrate his birthday with a little in-home glamping.
Okay- so I have a confession to make. This pandemic plant mama seized this opportunity to bring out all the plants and showcase them for this glamping session! It’s always such a delight when I see the looks on my boys’ faces when they see their birthday reveal. They’ve been really great at allowing me to take photos of them every year- I mean… there’s a birthday cake at the end after all!
